Before, During, and After Photos

Proof is in the photos.  I’m going to try and keep a photo log along the journey here as physical evidence of My Weight Watchers Story. This can’t be just before and after photos because there is no “after” yet. I also wanted to include this section for myself so when I think I’m stuck or think about compromising on my way to QT (a local gas station near my house) to get some Hostess snack or doughnut, I can look at some of these photos and know I’m on the right journey and I don’t want to go back to where things were “before.”

Before pictures taken in December 2010 and January 2011. I weighed 288 when I stepped on the scale on February 1st to begin Weight Watchers. I know I was heavier than that (i.e. that photo of me in the gray TCU t-shirt), but I hadn’t stepped on the scales.

Here is one photo (below) taken on March 5th, about 33 days into My Weight Watchers Story. I weighed in at 274. I’ve only lost 14 pounds, but there is big difference between this photo and the one of me in the TCU t-shirt taken on January 11th.

Here is my latest photo (below) taken on April 4th, about 63 days into My Weight Watchers Story. I weighed in at 268. I’ve lost 20 pounds over the 2 months. Making progress.

Here is a photo taken on May 6th… down to 258 pounds.  That is 30 pounds lost since joining Weight Watchers on February 1st, and a total of 37 pounds lost since the beginning of the year (notice the difference between the TCU shirt in the first pic and this one). I just got back from running for 30 minutes.

30 pounds lost with Weight Watchers

Okay, here is a photo from a 5K race I ran on June 25th. At this point I had lost a total of 35 pounds on Weight Watchers, and about 42 for the year. From 295 pounds to running a 5K race in 29:07. Not too bad. The other photo in the black shirt was taken on July 2nd, down a total of 38 pounds since joining Weight Watchers (nice sock line).

More coming soon…

I’m actually from Illinois originally… but been down in Texas since 1993. If you notice the top photo I’m in a TCU shirt, then a UT shirt. I have a Texas A&M shirt in my closet… but, nothing TT.

Great job! Love the website, might look into making one of these. I think it helps to keep you focused and it is very helpful to me to see what you have done and relate it to what I am trying to do. I am sure the others here think that as well.

You have TOTALLY been an inspiration! I joined Weight Watchers with a fellow co-worker 7 weeks ago. (after seeing her lose 25 pounds the 1st 10 weeks). Thank you for sharing your story and letting the rest of us out here know that we are NOT alone! Kudos to you!!

  10. Safari Rich says:

Thanks Mellanie! I had to do something different… so getting my story out there was a form of accountability when I wanted to quit… I couldn’t. It’s been good!

It is now almost exactly 6 months from your last picture. I think it is time for an update. I need to see what I will look like :) .
